Life of Pi

I saw Yann Martel's book, Life of Pi, done as a movie by Ang Lee, last night. I loved it. It adheres nicely to the story line of the book, leaving out only minor details. The casting was ok; no super famous actors in any role, except a cameo by Gerard Depardieu as the obnoxious ship's cook.

It was shown in 3-D; I normally would not have seen a 'serious' movie like this one in 3-D, but it enhanced the film and did not take away anything.
