Life of Pi

I saw Yann Martel's book, Life of Pi, done as a movie by Ang Lee, last night. I loved it. It adheres nicely to the story line of the book, leaving out only minor details. The casting was ok; no super famous actors in any role, except a cameo by Gerard Depardieu as the obnoxious ship's cook.

It was shown in 3-D; I normally would not have seen a 'serious' movie like this one in 3-D, but it enhanced the film and did not take away anything.

Although the premise is completely terrible, this is actually pretty good.

I know, I know...more low brow humor. Well, yeah, but it WILL make you laugh. You may not know yourself as well in the morning, but you will laugh.

Awesome cameos by Chevy Chase, et al.

The Green Hornet

Super funny. I did not expect that. I was ready for an amazing action movie with special effects. And this movie has that. What it also has is really good comedic acting combined with a great script.

Seth Rogen does for the Green Hornet what Jim Carrey did for the Mask - cool and funny.

AND there's Kato. One bad ass super-hero sidekick.

TRON Legacy (2010)

It has a pretty girl and nifty trails behind motorcycles with BIG wheels.

And that's it. Oh, and Jeff Bridges is in a couple of scenes.
